Arriving from Aberfeldy just a short 6 miles away driving down the brae you get your first stunning glimpse of Loch Tay in front of you and Taymouth Castle to the left. Kenmore hosts the end of the River Tay and the beginning of Loch Tay it is your perfect get away. The River Tay is Scotland's longest at 119 miles and is one of the country’s five big Scottish salmon rivers and attracts a vast number of fisherman to the area.
Within the village itself you will find the heart of Kenmore is "The Square", a street lined with attractive mainly black and white buildings. The most imposing of these is the Kenmore Hotel. On the opposite side there is the village shop and post office. The eastern end of The Square is dominated by the elaborate stone gateway leading to the estate of Taymouth Castle and the beautiful parish church stands at the west end of the square.
