Sunday 24th May Blair Atholl Highland Games:  The Highland Gathering on Sunday from 10.00am, with the Atholl Highlanders officially opening the Highland Games with a "March On" at 1.15pm, led again by the skirl of their pipes and the deep, sonorous booming of their drums.

 Following the March On, heavyweight strong men from around Scotland take centre stage to battle it out in the Highland Games, which includes traditional events such as tossing the caber, putting the shot and throwing the hammer. Highland Games date back many centuries, with most of the events tracing their roots back to ancient Scottish battle weapons and fighting techniques.




Saturday 23rd May - Atholl Highlander’s Parade:The Atholl Gathering  takes place on the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May every year.

 This unrivalled spectacle gives locals and visitors alike the chance to participate in a unique Highland tradition that has persisted for generations.

 The two day Atholl Gathering weekend consists of The Atholl Highlanders' Parade on Saturday followed by the Highland Games on Sunday.

Sunday 10th May - Etape Cycling event, Pitlochry: Shortly after setting off from a buzzing Pitlochry you will pass Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch, both of which will have you marvelling at the sheer beauty of the region.
 
This breathtaking start to the route not only sets the scene aesthetically, but also helps prepare your legs for the steep King of the Mountains (KOM) climb up Schiehallion.

2015 Events



Saturday 2nd May - Dunkeld Enduro: 4 gravity stages through mixed forest, open hillside and the historic Birnam hill.

These trails are fun, fast, flowing and will test your bike skills along the way.  Prepare for a day on the bike and bring your friends and sandwiches (or stop for a pub lunch half way round).
