At last the new release date for season 4 with thr tagline Brave the World has been announced for Sunday 4th November.We at the award winning Mains of Taymouth Country Estate & Golf Course cannot wait! On a recent dog walk round Faskally Forest there was great excitement with all the locations trailers and period clothing galore!
Fans of the show visit where many of the scenes were filmed and we are lucky enough to be right on their door step!

It also featured in the 20th century episode where Claire and Frank were visiting the castle ruins.It was built as the home of Regent Albany, ‘Scotland’s uncrowned king’.
Why not walk in the footsteps of rulers both real and fictional. Doune Castle is a popular filming location for not only Outlander but also Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Game of Thrones.

We welcome all dogs, all breeds and all sizes on the Estate. Many of our guests comment on how welcome they are made to feel. It starts with check-in, you are encouraged to bring your dog into Reception so we can all swoon over your precious friend. Then each dog receives their own welcome bag containing a map of walks, spare poo bags and a treat (and sometimes a goodie out of our secret stash!)
We do however, appreciate not everyone is a dog lover. We have a selection of
properties that are pet free.
